Thanks for visiting my site! Above is a picture of my most recent work. We have been raising chickens for eggs and suddenly have an explosion of eggs, so the sign (click on the picture to see the whole sign) above is our attempt to sell some of our surplus. I just can't use 2 dozen eggs a day. I have updated all of the gallery pages so check them out when you have time.
Here is a little info on me. I started painting around 8 years ago and began with One-Stroke, and have morphed into my own style of tole and a bit of one-stroke flavor. I live in a very rural area and that has influenced a lot of my work, as you may notice I have done quite a few barn scenes and farm animals. We raise steers, chickens, barn cats, a dog and kids! I have also done a cow gourd which is also cute if I do say so myself! One of my favorite surfaces to paint are gourds, check out the gourd page for pictures. Each gourd is a unique surface and since God never made a true duplicate they each are different. I have really enjoyed coming up with different character gourds and developing and continuing to expand in this art form. I hope that you take some time to explore, and any questions or comments are welcome. I am happy and eager to hear from you and custom orders via e-mail are always welcome! --Cara Keller |
